Villa-Lobos: O Polichinelo

This very lively little piece is an excerpt from the great South American composer's "Prole do Bebe" suite, which contains musical descriptions of a baby's dolls, including "Polichinelo" who is a traditional puppet (Punch) that is full of zany antics. This is a popular encore piece for concert performers, played sometimes so quickly as to seem almost a blur.
