本書包括一百八十個作曲家的小傳。它的範圍從中世紀到二十世紀，覆蓋了大約九個世紀。書中所有內容都以中英對照的方式呈現，以照顧不同讀者的需要，同時也方便學生學習不同的詞彙，為將來閱讀更多的音樂文獻作好準備。

This book includes short biographies of 180 composers. It ranges from medieval to 20th century composers and covers about nine centuries. All the contents of this book are presented in both Chinese and English for the reader, compiled as a convenient resource for students to learn different terms in order to further study music literature.
